喜愛看《鎗火》及《暗戰》的觀眾，杜琪峰最新力作《P.T.U.》絕對不會令你失望！故事就是發生於這個平常的晚上，但四名警員竟為了同胞的一支失槍，由各持已見，變得同舟共濟，寧願私自隱瞞，也要在一夜時間內盡力為他尋槍。杜琪峰活用了黑色荒謬感，捕捉四位當事人在黑夜街頭的連串撞板和烏龍，最後在警隊之間明爭暗鬥，甚至與黑幫大鬥法。杜導演以低成本及不守常規的方法去拍攝，加上演員與別不同做戲方法、奇趣的戲種及風格，反而營造出出人意表的效果，難怪杜琪峰本人對此片十分滿意！杜琪峰憑《PTU》榮獲2004年香港電影金像獎最佳導演，並在第四十屆金馬獎獲最佳原著劇本。此片獲邀為第27屆香港國際電影節開幕電影。
