阿霆(陳偉霆飾)與阿祥(曾國祥飾)及阿楝(徐偉棟飾)三人自十六歲起油麻地跟隨耀文(譚耀文飾)，情同手足。霆有學識亦有膽識，他於大學畢業後由舊同學搭路幫富豪收數，很快便賺到大錢和起朵，並與富家女Michelle (詩雅飾)相戀，但亦得罪了同字頭的火爆明(林利飾)。後來霆藉著為社團做事之名，背負耀文所託，殺死火爆明，他此舉一來是省己報仇，二來是為自己坐上龍頭之位鋪路，但他萬料不到火爆明的遺孀Irene姐(溫碧霞飾)不單要和他爭做龍頭大佬，更要他血債血償。與此同時，Michelle 要求霆與她遠走美國，不再涉足社團的事。霆最後能否全身而退？
