神級美容師沈美(古天樂飾)是廣受歡迎的美容節目主持，幕前中性溫文的形象不過是討好女人包裝，骨子裏仍是個粗魯麻甩男人。一天，石油大王女友Dream(閰妮飾)上門找沈，高薪禮聘沈她那全女班的化妝品公司擔任總裁。首天上班看見一班問題女人，沈才知開心太早，後悔太遲。眾女同事都不太合作，只有長期在各部門當臨時工的簡潔(張柏芝飾)願意當他的助理。
公司為提升品牌形象，在高級商場開設專櫃，沈請來了在街坊商場的他妝專櫃當彩妝師好友——鄭宇強(甄子丹飾0加入公司。強憑深諳女人心理，其僢金甚至比公司高層還要高，但諷刺的是他一不了初戀女友戴夢妮(劉嘉玲飾)。戴是個失意作家，每次創作都戀愛，小說完成便失戀，每次失戀都找強。沈在宇身上學懂與女性相處之道，在工作中為女同事解決她們各自的問題，亦意外讓Dream找到年輕時，與男友陳奇俠(黃百鳴飾)戀愛感覺。當俠察覺到Dream的轉變，以為她有新的戀情，還一度誤會沈是第三者。
