繼上一張搭配日本2011年上半期收視率第一名日劇【仁醫2】主題曲「珍愛歲月」後睽違一年，平井堅再度推出最新力作「告白」。這張平井堅的第35張單曲「告白」是平井堅暢銷單曲「樂園」「哀歌」之後，又一以悲愁哀傷為主題所寫下的歌曲。
同時這首歌也搭配了日劇【W的悲劇】的主題曲。而單曲中平井堅也重新詮釋翻唱1984年由藥師丸博子所演唱的電影版【W的悲劇】主題曲「WOMAN“W的悲劇”」。
而特別付贈的DVD當中則可以看到斯底下另一面的平井堅，內容包括2011年至香港宣傳幕後花絮，封面拍攝花絮等全長約30分鐘。
